ANCHORAGE, Alaska —

Alaska State Troopers say a 30-year-old man from East Wenatchee, Wash., has been arrested in Alaska's Dutch Harbor in an identity theft case.

Troopers say wildlife troopers arrested Omar Ivan Villanueva Wednesday on state charges of forgery and criminal impersonation.

Troopers say Villanueva also was charged with activities by illegal immigrants prohibited because he was a crew member on a commercial fishing vessel.

According to troopers, Villanueva used the Social Security number of a person in Texas and had a fraudulent immigrant registration card.

Sgt. Robin Morrisett says troopers are working with federal officials in the case and federal charges are possible.
