Change of plea hearing set for Wednesday

SPOKANE, Wash. —

The man charged with planting a bomb at Spokane's Martin Luther King Jr. day parade earlier this year is set to change his plea in federal court on Wednesday.

A change of plea hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday morning in the case against 37-year-old Kevin Harpham of Addy.

Harpham is charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, committing a hate crime and other charges in the case. He pleaded not guilty and his trial is set to begin on Monday.

He faced life in prison if convicted.

Details about the plea change were not immediately available.
