Climber dies of injuries in fall near Snoqualmie Pass
Rescue crews have recovered the body of a hiker who fell 100-feet to his death at Kaleetan Peak near Snoqualmie Pass.
SNOQUALMIE PASS — Rescue crews have recovered the body of a hiker who fell 100-feet to his death at Kaleetan Peak near Snoqualmie Pass.
King County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. John Urquhart said authorities received a call around 10 a.m. Monday that a male climber had fallen and that members of his party were with him.
Early Monday afternoon, Urquhart said the body had been recovered by Guardian One and was flown to Bandera Airfield, and would be turned over to the Medical Examiner's Office. Urquhart said the climber was in his 20's and that his hometown was not known.
