Small WA landslide knocks out power to 1,400

Kent police say a small landslide has knocked down a tree and some power lines, temporarily cutting power to about 1,400 residents.

KENT, Wash. —

Kent police say a small landslide has knocked down a tree and some power lines, temporarily cutting power to about 1,400 residents.

Lt. Pat Lowery says the slide occurred about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. No one was injured and a temporary traffic detour was set up.

Puget Sound Energy crews are working to assess damage and restore electrical service.
