SPOKANE, Wash. —

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office has finally released booking photos of Kevin Harpham, the man accused of planting a bomb at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade in January.

But documents about the FBI investigation that led to the arrest of Harpham, 36, last month remain sealed at the request of federal prosecutors. The U.S. attorney's office has declined to say why it wants the documents to remain sealed, although typically that is because an investigation is continuing.

Harpham was indicted on federal charges of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and possession of an unregistered explosive device. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

On Sunday, NAACP national president Benjamin Todd Jealous will lead a march in Spokane to demand justice and promote peace. The NAACP said it appears that racial hatred still exists in the area.
