Med-marijuana home robbery in Parkland
Three armed men wearing masks kicked down a door to break into a house in Parkland where a couple grow medical marijuana.
The Associated Press
Three armed men wearing masks kicked down a door to break into a house in Parkland where a couple grow medical marijuana.
Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says the men were looking for money and a safe, but when they didn't find anything they left, helping themselves to some of the marijuana.
The News Tribune reports the Thursday morning robbery was the third home invasion this week in Pierce County. The other two were in Tacoma Monday and Wednesday.
Deputies took about three dozen plants from the Parkland home, leaving all but 15 considered the maximum number for medical use.
