King County's chief information officer resigns
David Martinez, King County's chief information officer since 2000, has resigned, County Executive Dow Constantine's office announced Thursday.
David Martinez, King County's chief information officer since 2000, has resigned, County Executive Dow Constantine's office announced Thursday.
No reason was given for the departure of Martinez, whose last day on the job is Friday. He will be replaced on an interim basis by his deputy, Roger Kirouac.
Kirouac has 25 years' of experience in information management and was hired by King County in 2007 as information-technology service delivery manager of Public Health — Seattle & King County.
A search has begun for Martinez's permanent replacement, who will run the 480-employee, $83-million Office of Information Technology, which oversees the county's computer operations.
