Local events benefiting Haiti

A list of Seattle events raising money and awareness for Haiti.

Upcoming events in and around Seattle benefiting Haiti earthquake relief efforts.

January 21: Pan Africa Restaurant near Pike Place Market is hosting a fundraising dinner. Call 206-652-2461 for reservations.

January 23: CrisisCamp Haiti is a free event that brings together volunteers to collaborate on technology projects which aim to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake. The event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Mercer Island.

January 23: Sounders FC fan club Gorilla FC will host a fund-raising event at the George & Dragon pub in Fremont with midfielder Steve Zakuani and defender James Riley as a benefit for Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund. http://www.soundersfc.com

January 23: ART Restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle will donate 10 percent of all dinner bills (before tax and tip) to Red Cross. Monies raised will be sent as part of a large corporate donation from Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.

January 24: Seattle restaurants are teaming up, including Quinn's Pub, Restaurant Zoe, Dinette, Le Gourmand and La Rustica will hold a dine around Seattle event to raise money for NetHope and other relief organizations. More details are here.

Until January 24: Purple Cafe & Wine Bar and Barrio restaurants are accepting donations for UNICEF's Haiti relief fund now through Sunday, January 24. Corporate owners Heavy Restaurant Group will match a percentage of those donations.

January 25: Bengal Tiger Cuisine of India is hosting a buffet dinner from 5-10 p.m. ($14.95 per person), with 50 percent of proceeds going to World Vision.

January 27: Sushi Joa on Mercer Island will donate 20 percent of all restaurant sales to the Red Cross.

January 27: LTD Bar & Grill is hosting a fundraiser from 5 p.m. till close. All proceeds from draft beer sales will be donated to Mercy Corps.

January 28: Benefit concert and auction called "Seattle Helping Haiti" will be held at the Moore Theater with proceeds going to the American Red Cross. http://seattlehelpinghaiti.com/

Until January 31: Artist of the Month Club: Until Jan. 31, 2010 25% of any 2009 or 2010 Artist of the Month Club subscriptions will be donated to Mariposa DR Foundation. www.artistofthemonthclub.com

January 31: Mercer Island's Cellar 46 wine bar and restaurant is hosting "Turning Wine into Water" -- with all proceeds from wine sales sent to Haiti for water, food and medical supplies. The event begins at 5 p.m. and includes live music, food, wine-tasting and a wine auction. Individual donations will be collected at the door.

February 7: Seattle Jazz Vespers: Benefit concert featuring The Stephanie Porter Quartet with guest Lance Buller. 6 p.m. at Seattle First Baptist Church, Seneca Street and Harvard Street, Seattle. Free. www.seattlejazzvespers.org
