Authorities say two brothers - ages 8 and 11 - were killed in a crash after leaving a Monster Truck Show at the Tacoma Dome, and the boys' mother is under investigation for vehicular homicide.
Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum says the crash happened Saturday as the 41-year-old mother and her two sons headed home.
Police say the mother's car went over a concrete lane divider and into oncoming traffic. Fulghum says the car was struck on the passenger side by an SUV. The SUV driver was not seriously injured.
Authorities have identified the boys as 8-year-old Jared Davis and 11-year-old Jordan Davis of Enumclaw. Fulghum says the older boy died a short time after arriving at an area hospital, and the 8-year-old died Sunday evening of his injuries.
Fulghum says traffic officers suspect speed and alcohol may have contributed to the deadly crash.
