Man linked to Honda Pilot vehicle thefts sought

The State Patrol, FBI and U.S. Marshals Service are looking for a man in connection with the thefts of two vehicles and on felony warrants. The State Patrol says Bradley Steven Robinett is armed and may be living in stolen vehicles.

The State Patrol, FBI and U.S. Marshals Service are looking for a man in connection with the thefts of two vehicles and on felony warrants. The State Patrol says Bradley Steven Robinett is armed and may be living in stolen vehicles.

Robinett has been identified as the man who ran from a stolen vehicle when he was spotted by police in the Eastgate Park-and-Ride lot Nov. 24. Robinett was driving a black 2009 Honda Pilot, which had been stolen from the Portland area, according to the State Patrol.

On Sept. 12, Bainbridge Island police also spotted Robinett in another Honda Pilot stolen from the Portland area. A stolen handgun and stolen body armor were recovered in the Bainbridge Island case.

In both car thefts, Robinett allegedly had switched the plates of the cars.

According to the State Patrol, Robinett may be living in stolen vehicles. He had rigged curtains that snapped to the roofline to conceal his presence in the stolen Pilots, the State Patrol says.

Robinett has an outstanding felony warrant for escape and unlawful possession of a firearm. The State Patrol says he is known to be a survivalist and very active, normally running three miles daily. He is believed to be armed at all times and possibly equipped with body armor.

A State Patrol spokesman declined to say where Robinett obtained the body armor, saying it was part of the investigation.

Anyone who sees Robinett is asked to call State Patrol Detective Sgt. John Anderson at 425-401-7745.
