Over two days this week, Papa John's 42 restaurants in the Puget Sound region raised nearly $126,000 to benefit the families of the four fallen Lakewood police officers.

In a release from the Louisville, Ky.-based chain, a spokeswoman said profits from local store sales Tuesday and Wednesday were donated to the Lakewood Police Independent Guild's benevolent fund, along with donations from patrons at Papa John's restaurants.

The fund will aid the families of officers Tina Griswold, Ronald Owens, Mark Renninger and Gregory Richards.
