Here is a list of events scheduled for Veterans Day in the Seattle area.

Veterans Dance: Dance to Sounds of Swing, 2 p.m. Tuesday, North Bellevue Community and Senior Center, 4063 148th Ave. N.E., Bellevue. $3-5; 425-452-7681.

Veterans Day Ceremony, Museum of Flight: Performance by the Boeing Employees' Concert Band, noon Wednesday; U.S. veterans and current U.S. military personnel admitted to the museum free of charge, 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle; 206-764-5720 or www.museumofflight.org.

Seattle Veterans Museum: Displays to honor local military veterans, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, west side of Benaroya Hall on Second Avenue between Union and University streets, Seattle; www.seattleveteransmuseum.org.

Museum of History & Industry: Free admission for veterans and active military on Wednesday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 2700 24th Ave. E., Seattle; 206-324-1126 or www.seattlehistory.org.

Veterans Breakfast: Pancake breakfast for the community to say thank you to those who serve our country. 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, Sno-Valley Senior Activity Center, 4610 Stephens Ave., Carnation. $3-$5; veterans and current service personnel are free; 425-333-4152.

Veterans Day Memorial Celebration: Flag placement in the Lower Veterans Memorial Cemetery, music, address by Captain Jon Bridge, rifle salute; the chimes tower will play after the program. 7 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Evergreen Washelli, 11111 Aurora Ave. N.,

Free hamburgers and cheeseburgers: Dick's Drive-In Restaurants are offering free hamburgers and cheeseburgers for all veterans and active-duty military personnel with their military identification from 10:30 a.m. to closing on Wednesday. The free cheeseburgers will be available at all five locations; www.dicksdrivein.com.

Monument dedication: A parade and ceremonies for the new Medal of Honor monument honoring UW community members who have received the award. 10 a.m. Wednesday at the circle between Memorial Way and the World War II memorial on the UW campus; free; http://depts.washington.edu/memorial/
