Utah man sentenced in identity theft case
A man who pleaded guilty to identity theft in federal court has been sentenced to four years in prison.
A man who pleaded guilty to identity theft in federal court has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Martin Joseph MacNeill, 53, pleaded guilty in June to two counts of aggravated identity theft aiding and abetting in a case that accused him and a woman of using a false Social Security number in an effort to obtain military, banking and Utah identification documents for her.
MacNeill, a former clinical director of the Utah State Developmental Center in American Fork, and Gypsy Jyll Willis, 32, were indicted by a federal grand jury in January.
Court documents show that Willis pleaded guilty in April to one count of aggravated identity theft. She is due for sentencing Sept. 1.
MacNeill was also medical director of the Chehalis, Wash.-based Valley View Health Center.
