Day 29: So far, so good
If the rain holds off today, Seattle will match the May-June record of consecutive rainless spring days set in 1982.

If the rain holds off today, Seattle will match the May-June record of consecutive rainless spring days set in 1982.
While there have been reports of some very light rain in and around Seattle, no precipitation has reached Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, where the National Weather Service measures rain levels.
The record for consecutive dry days for May-June is 29.
The dry heat may be good news for sunbathers, but weather experts say the region is at increased risk of wildfires.
"We've seen three good-sized wildfires here already," said Jim Prange, fire weather program leader for the National Weather Service in Seattle. "It's a little early in the year for that."
The overall record for consecutive dry days recorded at Sea-Tac is 51, set in July and August of 1951.
On June 3 and 4, the temperature reached 89 degrees, breaking the high-temperature records for both days.
