Overpass accident on I5 south of Tacoma

An accident is blocking the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 south of Tacoma, near Bridgeport Way.

TACOMA, Wash. —

An accident is blocking the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 south of Tacoma, near Bridgeport Way.

The Transportation Department says traffic backed up four miles after the accident just after noon Monday.

The department says a semi-truck lost its load after striking a railroad trestle.
