Republican governor candidate Dino Rossi says he shouldn't have to testify in a lawsuit over alleged campaign fundraising violations.

Republican governor candidate Dino Rossi says he shouldn't have to testify in a lawsuit over alleged campaign fundraising violations.
Rossi is asking a King County Superior Court judge to quash a subpoena against him, or issue a protective order.
In his court filing Monday, Rossi says the court doesn't have jurisdiction yet over claims that Rossi illegally coordinated campaign money with a supporter.
He also says the lawsuit, brought by two supporters of Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire, is politically motivated to keep him off the campaign trail.
Rossi and Gregoire are running a tight rematch of their 2004 governor's contest. Their final debate is Wednesday in Seattle.
