Would-be voters have until Saturday — 30 days before the November general elections — to register by mail or online.
Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by the Oct. 4 cutoff, according to the Washington Secretary of State's office.
People who are new to the state or have not registered before can register in person at their county elections department until Oct. 20, which is 15 days before the elections.
Washington residents can find out if their voter registration is still active by checking online at http://wei.secstate.wa.gov/OSOS/VoterVault/Pages/MyVote.aspx.
People can register or update their address online at https://wei.secstate.wa.gov/osos/secure/pages/Onlinevoterregistration.aspx.
People registering in Washington must be U.S. citizens, legal residents of the state and at least 18 years old. People who are denied civil rights due to felony conviction or judicially declared incompetent and ineligible to vote may not register.
