Police say two shooting deaths in Redmond are a murder-suicide involving a woman and her estranged husband.
Spokesman Jim Bove (bohv) says the man shot the woman at an apartment complex eight times Tuesday and then shot himself in the head.
The woman had been staying at a friend's apartment and was leaving for her job at Microsoft when she was confronted in the parking lot.
The woman was in the process of filing for divorce.
In addition to the weapon used in the shooting, the man carried another handgun in his waistband.
Police say it was the first murder in Redmond in four years.
