Female Mason County sex offender missing

A female sex offender who was released from prison last month is wanted by officials in Mason County for failing to register.

SHELTON, Wash. —

A female sex offender who was released from prison last month is wanted by officials in Mason County for failing to register.

Because of a child molestation conviction and already serving a sentence for failing to register, the 41-year-old woman, Amanda Sue Warnecke, is considered a Level Three offender.

She was convicted along with her husband in the 1996 rape of a 13-year-old girl and was released June 22 from the Washington Corrections Center for Women.
