Marijuana-growing operation found in Longview WA

LONGVIEW, Wash. —

Neighbors tipped off police to a million dollar marijuana-growing operation in a Longview neighborhood.

Police spent Saturday afternoon cataloguing the more than 300 plants and 40 pounds of harvested marijuana. They entered a house with a warrant for stealing electricity and expanded the investigation when the plants and growing equipment were discovered.

No one was home when the warrants were served and no arrests were made. Police say the owner of the home lives in King County.

Police say it was one the largest growing operations in the city of Longview's history.

Police say they were first alerted to the house by neighbors who reported suspicious activity and the odor of marijuana.
