Man found dead in SUV in Spokane, had been parked 2-3 days

SPOKANE, Wash. —

Police in Spokane are investigating the discovery of a dead man in a sport utility vehicle near Deaconess Medical Center.

The body was noticed Monday afternoon, but neighbors tell KXLY Television the white Nissan Pathfinder with license plates from nearby Kootenai County, Idaho, had been parked since about Friday.

Eighteen-year-old Kayla Snow tells The Spokesman-Review newspaper she had her friends spotted the body in the SUV while walking home. She says there were burn marks on the dead man's hands and flies all over the vehicle.

Police Sgt. Joseph Peterson says the body was in an unusual position, and the death is considered suspicious.
