Body of missing snowmobiler found near Stevens Pass

Search and rescue crews have found the body of a snowmobiler who got separated from his friends near Stevens Pass.

Deputy Rich Barton, a spokesman for the King County Sheriff's Office, said the man went off a trail, hit a tree, and the snowmobile landed on top of him Saturday afternoon.

His body was found about 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities did not immediately identify the man, who was reportedly in his early 20s.
