Four men were shot late Friday night near Seattle Center.
The shooting took place shortly before midnight in the parking lot of the Level 5 nightclub.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and two other men, in their 20s, were hit in the legs. A bouncer at the club also was shot. All four were taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, said Seattle police spokeswoman Renee Witt.
Police say a fight spilled out into the parking lot. Gang detectives were investigating.
Several fights had broken out in the club earlier that evening, according to witnesses.
The shooting could revive the issue of nightclub violence in Seattle.
Mayor Greg Nickels has been pushing for increased regulation of nightclubs for more than a year in response to violent incidents at or around clubs in Pioneer Square and lower Queen Anne. The City Council passed an ordinance last month calling for more study, but Nickels vetoed it, saying it didn't go far enough.
In July, a brawl involving 100 people spilled out of the Level 5 club and into the street.
Man faces charge in woman's shooting
A man accused of shooting a woman in front of their two young children in Bremerton is due in Kitsap County Superior Court on Monday, facing a domestic-violence assault charge.
Police detectives working with U.S. Marshals arrested Darrin Darrell Maiden, 28, on Friday afternoon outside a restaurant in Tacoma.
Police had been looking for him since Tuesday's shooting in a car that left the 27-year-old woman hospitalized in serious condition at Seattle's Harborview Medical Center.
The injured woman was able to drive to a grocery store and ask for help. Two small children in car seats were taken into protective custody.
Actor leaps a bit far into his character
Seattle performer Levi Kreis may have pushed his portrayal of Jerry Lee Lewis a bit too far during a performance Friday night of "Million Dollar Quartet" at the Village Theatre in Issaquah.
In the finale of the musical, which depicts a 1956 jam session among Lewis, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins, Kreis jumped from a piano, one of several stunts he performs. Kreis didn't break a leg but he did tear a ligament in his left knee, according to his manager, Rich Overton.
But the show must go on. Overton and Village Theatre marketing director Josh Roberts confirmed that Kreis is cleared to perform for the rest of the show's run, which continues in Issaquah through Oct. 28 and then moves to the Village Theatre's Everett venue for more than two weeks in November. But performances will be minus Kreis' big jump.
State Web pages down for 3 hours
A problem related to computer network switches took down many Washington state Web pages for three hours on Friday.
A state Department of Information Systems spokeswoman, Joanne Todd, said staffers were working to figure out exactly what caused the problem.
Computer users looking for traffic Web cameras, social services or hundreds of other state Web pages were met with blank screens because of the outage at the main Internet page for state government, access.wa.gov.
Motorcyclis dies in accidentt
A Redmond man died Friday afternoon in a motorcycle accident on Highway 97 in north-central Oregon.
Oregon State Police said Neil James Carlson, 57, was passing a line of vehicles about one mile north of Shaniko but did not overtake a commercial truck before the passing zone ended. An oncoming car swerved to avoid him, but Carlson, who was on a 2003 Honda, lost control.
Carlson slid off the roadway, down an embankment and into a fence on the west side of the highway. He died at the scene, state troopers said. He had been wearing a helmet.
