The Mary Haviland award includes a donation to the school, a marble plaque and a traveling trophy.
City designates day to honor its "Idol"
Bothell has proclaimed Wednesday as "Blake Lewis Day," in honor of the Bothell resident who this week became a top-eight finalist on "American Idol."

Mayor Mark Lamb will present the proclamation to Lewis' parents, Dallas and Dinah Lewis.
The proclamation came about through the efforts of The Blaker Girls, his official fan club, and the Northshore School District, which coordinated support for a "Blake Lewis Day."
Sanjaya Malakar, of Federal Way, also is in the final eight.
