Rant & Rave: Nice catch, nice gesture at AquaSox game
Seattle Times readers rave about a man making a kid's day at the AquaSox game and rant about playground bullies old enough to know better.

Rave To the nice man who caught a foul ball at the Everett AquaSox game and gave it to my 9-year-old son. You made his day, and the ball is in his trophy case.
Rant To adults and teens who think it's fun or funny to destroy public playgrounds. Toddler swings are designed to hold toddlers, not 150-plus-pound people who want to be cute. Do you think I can shimmy up to untangle that swing that you decided to turn into a knot? Do you understand that "going to the playground" is the highlight of a kid's day, and how they feel when they show up to broken slides and trash? The city shouldn't have to pay to repair playgrounds because you're immature.
Rave To Seattle City Light employees who spent the night repairing the power outages caused by the Friday the 13th lightning strikes. Upper Queen Anne thanks you.
Rant To the parents that brought their three children to Silent Movie Mondays at the Paramount. Did you think your toddler would be able to read the subtitles, sit quietly through a two-hour movie or like a story about a 1920s dancer who was murdered? I didn't drive 50 minutes through heavy traffic to hear your child yelling during a "silent" movie. Shame on you for your lack of consideration for others.
Rave To Milepost Thirty-One, a great spot to learn more about Pioneer Square and our cool natural history. Plus, admission's free!
Rant To the family I served who told my manager my service was excellent, then didn't leave a tip. I know you didn't feel the person who brought out your food was up to par, but don't take it out on your server. For someone paying their way through college, that extra $5 really makes a difference.
Rave To the cabdriver who took my daughter to the hospital at no charge when she cut her hand and needed assistance.
Rant and Rave Rant for my puppy for getting loose and running into traffic. Rave to all the thoughtful and patient drivers that stopped for her!
