The annual peeps contest is back
Time to get the artistic juices flowing and create an entry for the annual Seattle Times Peeps contest.
It's time for the popular Seattle Times Peeps Contest. Create a sculpture, diorama, tableau or art project of your liking that is made (mostly) of marshmallow Peeps.
You might take inspiration from current movies or TV shows, the arts, news events or Seattle-area icons. (Remember last year's "Seafair Peeps" and "Salvador Peepli"?)
Our only requirement is that your finished artwork be suitable for publication in a family newspaper.
Here's how it works: Craft your master Peep. Then go to seattletimes.com/peepscontest, click on the "Submission" tab, and upload a photo of your creation. Submit by April 5 at noon [DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL MIDNIGHT] to compete for prizes. Judging and Peeple's Choice voting begin April 6.
New this year: We'll have a children's category for ages 12 and younger.
We'll announce winners and publish some of the entries in the April 24, Easter Sunday edition of NW Arts & Life.
In the meantime, find photos from last year's competition, a FAQ, contest rules and tips at seattletimes.com/peeps.
