Time to spa, money to spare

From Seattle to the Eastside, and for a week only, you can get pampered for as little as $50.

Special to The Seattle Times

Who wouldn't want a piña colada manicure or a Qigong Chinese healing massage? Or maybe a Shirodhara treatment, where herb-infused sesame oil is poured over your forehead to induce relaxation?

Yet many of us rarely, if ever, splurge for such pampering.

The spa industry gets this, so April 16-22, spas across the country — including seven locally — will offer an assortment of health and beauty treatments for $50 each.

Similar to local restaurants' "Twenty-five for $25" promotion, Spa Week allows you to indulge in facials, manicures, pedicures, massages and scrubs at up to half the regular cost of a service.

Participating spas will offer a minimum of three different treatments during the promotion. These spas, however, won't honor other discounts or coupons during Spa Week.

Book your appointments now — spa owners who participated last year say slots fill up fast.
