Along with holding its Spring Game on Saturday, the Washington football team also hosted a number of prospective recruits for what it calls Junior Day, a weekend when players can visit the campus and get to know coaches and players.

And by Sunday night, three of those who had visited had committed to sign with UW as part of the Class of 2013.

The latest is center Dane Crane of Santa Margarita (Calif.) Catholic High, a 6-foot-3, 295-pounder rated among the top eight at his position nationally by both Scout.com (No. 8) and Rivals.com(No. 4) and was also listed as having offers from the likes of Arizona, Colorado and Florida State. Crane made his commitment known on his Twitter page, among other sources.

Crane joins as new Huskies Bellevue linebacker Sean Constantine and cornerback Derek Babiash of Poway, Calif., who made their commitments known Saturday.

Crane is the first offensive lineman in the class and the second from California. He is the fourth player to commit to UW this week (defensive lineman Jaimie Bryant of Tumwater also committed) and the fifth overall (Lakes High receiver Sammie Long committed in March).
