Player of the game
Washington quarterback Keith Price completed 21 of 29 pass attempts for 291 yards and three touchdowns, the last of which broke the UW season record for scoring passes with 29, topping Cody Pickett's mark of 2002. Linebacker Princeton Fuimaono tied for Husky team high in tackles with nine, four of them for losses.
Play of the game
At the 11:37 mark of the first quarter, Washington linebacker Thomas Tutogi blocked Dan Wagner's punt after the initial Washington State possession. The Huskies' Jesse Callier gathered it in at the WSU and breezed into the end zone, giving UW a 7-0 lead and it never trailed.
Turning point
Price hit UW freshman Kasen Williams in the left corner of the end zone for a 21-yard touchdown with 24 seconds left in the half to give the Huskies a 21-14 lead at the break after WSU had rallied from 14 points down to tie it with 2:05 before intermission.
Injury report
Neither team reported any major injuries of lasting impact.
