Key portions of the men's and women's basketball schedule at Washington next season were released Monday.

For the men, the Pac-12 schedule was announced and the Huskies will open on the road Jan. 5 against Washington State.

In all, Washington will play six conference games on Wednesday, twice on Thursday, eight times on Saturday and twice on Sunday. They have just one series that will be what had been the traditional Thursday-Saturday.

The Huskies will not play at Colorado or Utah this season and California and Stanford won't come to Seattle.

For the UW women, their nonconference schedule has their intercity competition with Seattle University being renewed after a one-year hiatus.

The teams will meet Nov. 14 at KeyArena.

The Huskies open the season Nov. 9 at home against Saint Mary's. They will have key road games at Wisconsin (Nov. 21) and at Georgia Tech (Dec. 21).

NOTES

• Washington State junior wide receiver Marquess Wilson has been named to the first team of the CBSSports.com preseason all-America squad. Wilson enters the 2012 season coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.

• Three players — Cassis McKinley of Seattle, Denise Kieffer of Fircrest and Gretchen Klein of Grays Harbor — fired 77s at Sand Point Country Club and lead a group of 16 players who qualified for the match-play portion in the championship of the Washington State Women's Golf Association.
