Washington women beat UCLA

Kelsey Plum scored 21 points and the Washington women’s basketball team led most of the way in a 70-58 victory over UCLA on Friday night in Pauley Pavilion.

LOS ANGELES — Kelsey Plum scored 21 points and the Washington women’s basketball team led most of the way in a 70-58 victory over UCLA on Friday night in Pauley Pavilion.

Plum was 3 of 15 from the field, but made 13 of 16 free throws as the Huskies (11-9, 4-5) climbed over UCLA (10-12, 4-6) in the Pac-12 standings.

Mercedes Wetmore had 14 points and four assists for UW, which built a 37-23 lead at halftime.

Talia Walton had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Huskies. Aminah Williams had 11 rebounds and six points. Jazmine Davis had 10 points and six rebounds.

Corinne Costa led the Bruins with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Huskies play at USC on Sunday morning at 11.
