Two Portland pitchers held Washington to four hits as the Pilots won a rain-shortened, six-inning nonleague baseball game at Husky Ballpark Tuesday night, 4-2.
Matt McCallister pitched five innings to earn the win for Portland (7-13).
UW starter Tyler Davis (0-3) took the defeat, giving up only two unearned runs on two hits in three innings for the Huskies (4-15).
Other baseball
Cory Lebrun went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBI as Gonzaga (12-6-1) beat Washington State 10-8 in a nonleague game in Pullman. Adam Nelubowich went 4 for 5 and Ian Sagdal singled, tripled and drove in four runs for the Cougars (11-8).
Golf
Bryan Tunstill and Adrian Burtner from Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland finished at 10 under par, shooting 65-67 — 132 at Overlake Golf & CC in Medina to win the Pacific Northwest Pro-Assistant championship. Dan Hill and Tim Feenstra of Seattle's Broadmoor GC were third at 136.
Softball
Northwest University of Kirkland lost 1-0 and 7-4 to Concordia in Clackamas, Ore. Kelli Peckham threw a six-hitter in the opener and Lynzee Halcott and Hannah Ganfield hit home runs in Game 2 for the Eagles (2-20, 0-10 Cascade Conference).
Curling
The Lyle Sieg rink of Seattle's Granite Curling Club defeated California 9-0 to improve to 5-1 in round-robin competition at the U.S. Mixed National Championships in Willmar, Minn.
