Notes
• Host Idaho used a buzzer-beating steal and layup to escape with a 68-66 victory over Eastern Washington in women's basketball. Idaho (1-4) trailed 66-63 when freshman Christina Salvatore made a three-pointer to tie the score with 35 seconds left. Eastern (2-4) had the ball, but Lexie Nelson (19 points) was stripped by Connie Ballestero. Salvatore picked up the loose ball, threw an outlet pass to Krissy Karr, who immediately found a wide-open Alyssa Charlston (29 points) for the winning layup just before the buzzer.
• Michael Russo scored 20 as Northwest University (7-2) routed Pacific Lutheran (1-4) 72-38.
• Saint Martin's volleyball coach Phil Ibarra has resigned his position after eight seasons. Ibarra was 28-169 overall for the Saints.
