Two first-half goals powered the Washington women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Oregon in Pac-12 play Thursday at Husky Soccer Stadium.

Allie Beahan took an assist from Chelsea Archer, dribbled around the goalie and scored in the 19th minute for UW (10-6-2, 3-5-1 Pac-12). Later, Lindsay Elston scored unassisted on a 20-yard shot. Kari Davidson got the shutout, stopping three shots by Oregon (7-9-2, 2-6-1).

Other women's soccer

• Riley Dopps scored twice as Seattle Pacific (13-3-3, 10-1-2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) had four first-half goals in a 4-0 victory over Simon Fraser (1-15, 0-13) in Burnaby, B.C.

• Catherine Miles scored in the 71st minute of Western Washington's 1-0 home victory over Central Washington, securing the regular-season GNAC championship for the Vikings (15-2, 12-1).

Men's soccer

• Austin Curtis had two second-half goals as Western Washington (7-7-2, 5-5-2 GNAC) posted a 3-1 victory over Seattle Pacific (10-2-4, 6-2-4) at Interbay Stadium.

Volleyball

• Kaytlyn Dill (12 kills, 12 digs) notched her ninth double-double for Seattle University, but the Redhawks (7-15, 2-10) lost 25-11, 25-10, 22-25, 25-15 to host Texas State in a Western Athletic Conference match.

• Northwest Nazarene beat visiting Seattle Pacific 25-21, 19-25, 18-25, 25-12, 15-10. Cailin Fellows (18 kills, 14 digs) and Shelby Swanson (46 assists, 14 digs) led the Falcons (9-11, 6-5 GNAC).

• A seven-match win streak by Western Washington (17-3, 10-2 GNAC) ended in a 25-22, 25-21, 25-21 defeat at Western Oregon.

Hockey

• Everett Silvertips defenseman Ryan Murray was named to Team WHL for the Subway Super Series against Team Russia. The teams will meet Nov. 14 in Vancouver, B.C., and Nov. 15 in Victoria, B.C.

Golf

• Brian Thornton, out of Meridian Valley Country Club, had two match-play victories to help the professionals to a 6-4 first-day lead over the amateurs in the 64th annual Hudson Cup competition. In the senior competition, the score was tied 5-5 with the final matches in both competitions among players from Oregon and Washington on Friday at Inglewood Golf Club in Kenmore.
