Kevin McGuff became the first male coach in University of Washington women's basketball history on April 3 as he signed a five-year deal.
Prior to joining the Huskies, McGuff spent nine seasons at Xavier and is the most successful coach in school history, compiling a 214-73 record with six trips to the NCAA tournament. The second-seeded Musketeers were eliminated by Louisville in the second round of the tournament this season.
At UW, he inherits a defensive-minded squad that only loses one senior as the Huskies transition into Pac-12 play.
