Rewind: Steve Sarkisian talks Husky football
Latest from the Husky Football & Basketball blogs
Coming off a winless 2008 season, the University of Washington hired Steve Sarkisian to lead the revival of the football program. And during 2009, he did just that.
In Sarkisian's first year on the sideline, the Huskies went 5-7 and made significant statistical improvements on offense and defense. Wins over third-ranked USC (16-13), WSU (30-0) and 19th-ranked Cal (42-10) highlighted the remarkable turnaround season that included 10 opponents who ended the campaign bowl-eligible.
Coach Sarkisian talked about spring football, the upcoming 2010 season and much more in a live chat on May 11.
