Heather Tarr & Lindsay Meggs talk UW softball and baseball | Chat Transcript
Latest from the Husky Football & Basketball blogs
Husky softball and baseball are in full swing this spring and both teams square off against Arizona this weekend with homestands against the Wildcats.
The softball squad, led by head coach Heather Tarr, is enjoying another exceptional season. A year after winning their first national championship, the Huskies are 30-3, ranked No. 1 in the latest polls and Tarr has the UW poised to compete for a second straight title.
The Diamond Dawgs are currently 16-11 on the season and have won nine of their last 10 games under first-year head coach Lindsay Meggs, who joined the UW athletics' staff last July. Before coming to Washington, Meggs spent three years as head coach of Indiana State and 13 seasons at Chico State. At Chico, he posted a 538-228-4 record and won two NCAA Division II national titles (1997, 1999).
Have questions for either coach? Tarr and Meggs will be available to talk about their teams and more on Thursday from 12-1 p.m. on seattletimes.com.
