Player of the game: Justin Holiday held Darington Hobson to three points in the first half. The New Mexico star finished with 11, but the final six were scored when the outcome was decided. Without scoring from Hobson, the Mountain West Player of the Year, the Lobos were limited offensively. Holiday had seven rebounds, five points, four assists, three blocks and three steals.

Key to the game: UW limited New Mexico to 5 of 17 on three-pointers. Lobos point guard Darese Gary scored a game-high 25 points, but the rest of the New Mexico starters were 11 of 31 from the field.

Turning point: The Huskies used a 15-4 run midway in the first half to unlock a 19-19 tie and take control of the game. Isaiah Thomas finished the spurt with a pair of three-pointers that put UW ahead 34-23.
