Player of the game: Arizona tight end Rob Gronkowski had five catches for 109 yards, three for touchdowns, as the Huskies never could figure out how to defend him.
UW player of the game: Junior defensive end Daniel Te'o-Nesheim was one of the few Huskies who seemed to play with intensity throughout, getting three sacks — the first three of the season for UW.
UW highlight: There weren't many, but UW got its longest gain of the season on the first play of the second quarter when Ronnie Fouch threw deep to Jermaine Kearse, who caught the ball between two defenders for a 62-yard play.
Turning point: There was still some drama to the game when Arizona's Mike Thomas returned a punt 48 yards for a touchdown with 8:13 to go in the second quarter to put the Wildcats up 24-7. UW threw an interception on the next possession and Arizona quickly converted for another TD to take a commanding lead.
Key stat: The Huskies have now lost seven games in a row dating to last season, their longest losing streak since losing eight in a row in 2004-05 — the last six of the 2004 season and the first two of 2005.
Next: vs. Oregon State, Oct. 18, 4 p.m.
