Hong Kong leader rejects protesters’ demands

Hong Kong's leader has refused to meet with demonstrators despite their threats to expand the protests that have clogged the streets with tens of thousands of people. They are demanding full suffrage after Beijing said it would allow elections for the semi-autonomous city's next leader in 2017 but would vet candidates — a decision branded "fake democracy."
