Ex-Sonic, now artist Desmond Mason:
'Seattle was my first of everything'

Since his playing days in the NBA, former Sonic Desmond Mason has been busy honing his art. Friday he had a private charity show at Axis in Pioneer Square. "His style, he shakes it up, so you can buy more than one piece and it doesn't feel redundant," arts patron Mary Lytle said. "It's not like he's erratic and trying to find his style. He has so much to say in so many different ways."
