VANCOUVER, B.C. — The Seattle Thunderbirds were dominated early and couldn't recover, falling 4-1 to the Vancouver Giants in a Western Hockey League game Sunday.
Vancouver outshot Seattle 17-3 in the first period while taking a 1-0 lead. Seattle's only goal cut its deficit to 2-1, but the Giants clinched the win with two goals in the final eight minutes, including a late empty-netter.
