Carson Stadnyk and Daniel Cotton lift Silvertips

Stadnyk scores twice to pave way for Everett

EVERETT — Carson Stadnyk's second goal of the night broke a tie and lifted the Everett Silvertips to a 2-1 victory over Medicine Hat in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Stadnyk's second goal, and just his third of the season, came at 12:43 of the third period off assists from Landon Oslanski and Ty Mappin.

Daniel Cotton was the winning goaltender for the Silvertips (9-14-0-2) after stopping 40 shots from the Tigers (11-13-1-0), who had a 41-18 advantage in shots. Curtis Valk scored for the Tigers.
