EVERETT — Joshua Winquist, Josh Birkholz and Manraj Hayer scored second-period goals as the Everett Silvertips beat the Tri-City Americans 4-1 Saturday night at Comcast Arena.

Reid Petryk also scored for Everett (19-37-1-8) and Kent Simpson made 30 saves.

The Silvertips host Victoria on Wednesday.

At Portland 7, Seattle 3

Sven Bartschi scored four goals as the Winterhawks hammered the Thunderbirds.

Connor Sanvido, Seth Swenson and Burke Gallimore scored goals for Seattle (21-41-1-1).

Portland (46-15-3-1) outshot the Thunderbirds 47-28.

Seattle plays at Prince George on Tuesday and Wednesday.
