Spokane rallies past T-birds in 3rd period

Marek Kalus and Cole Wedman scored third-period goals as the Spokane Chiefs rallied to beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-4 Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

SPOKANE — Marek Kalus and Cole Wedman scored third-period goals as the Spokane Chiefs rallied to beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-4 Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Colin Jacobs, Burke Gallimore, Brendan Rouse and Branden Troock scored for Seattle (19-33-1-1), which led 4-3.

Seattle returns home to host Portland on Saturday night at 7:05.

At Vancouver 3, Everett 2

Neil Manning had a goal and an assist as the Giants subdued the Silvertips.

Jari Erricson had a goal and an assist for Everett (14-32-1-8).

Vancouver travels to Everett for another game Saturday night at 7:05.
