Winterhawks give thrashing to T-birds
Brad Ross scored four goals as the Portland Winterhawks pummeled the Seattle Thunderbirds 9-1 Friday night in a Western Hockey League game.
PORTLAND — Brad Ross scored four goals as the Portland Winterhawks pummeled the Seattle Thunderbirds 9-1 Friday night in a Western Hockey League game.
Portland (44-17-0-3) outshot the T-birds 58-20.
Luke Lockhart scored the only goal for Seattle (24-32-4-5).
The Thunderbirds host the Everett Silvertips on Saturday night at 7:05.
At Tri-City 3, Everett 2 (OT)
Kruise Reddick tied the game late in third period and Carter Ashton scored a power-play goal in OT as the Americans (38-21-2-2) beat the Silvertips (27-28-5-4).
