SPOKANE — Dustin Tokarski made 22 saves as the Spokane Chiefs shut out the Seattle Thunderbirds 2-0 Saturday night in a Western Hockey League game.

The Thunderbirds are now 6-2-2-1 in the U.S. Division. Spokane is 10-2-1-1.

Center Chris Langkow scored in first period for Spokane, getting assists from Curtis Kelner and Ryan Letts.

Defenseman Jared Cowen scored in the second period, with Kelner providing another assist.

Thunderbirds goaltender Jacob DeSerres faced 28 shots and made 26 saves.

Both teams were blanked on the power play. Seattle was 0 for 5 and Spokane 0 for 6.

The Thunderbirds' next game is tonight at 5:05 against the Brandon Wheat Kings at KeyArena.
