YAKIMA — Renton suffered through a frigid first half and lost 44-25 to W.F. West of Chehalis in the semifinals of the Class 2A state girls basketball tournament Friday night at the Tacoma Dome.

The second-ranked Bearcats (22-4) will play Mark Morris of Longview in the championship game Saturday night. Unranked Renton (21-5) will play River Ridge of Lacey for third place at 1 p.m.

Tori Weeks scored 13 points and Jamika Parker added 11 points for W.F. West, which took a 25-12 halftime lead and led the entire game.

Renton shot only 13 percent in the first half (4 of 30) and was out-rebounded 52-31.

Other 2A games

Mark Morris 49, River Ridge 46, OT (semifinal)

Raimee Sluder's two free throws with 28 seconds left in overtime helped send the No. 1 Monarchs (24-2) to the final. Kourtney Eaton added two free throws with nine seconds left, and a last-second three-point attempt by River Ridge rimmed out.

Wapato 64, Cedarcrest 50 (loser out)

Lexie Gomez scored 27 for Wapato (22-3). Kailyn Campbell had 14 points and 16 rebounds for Cedarcrest (22-5), which went 0-2 in its first trip to state.

Class 1A

Brewster 60, King's 36 (semifinal)

At the Yakima SunDome, Chandler Smith's 27 points powered the Bears (25-1) into the championship game. Monica Landdeck added 18 points for Brewster. Daylee Hanson, whose basket with 2 seconds remaining on Thursday beat defending state champ Okanogan, scored 10 for King's (18-9). The Knights from Shoreline shot a chilly 18 percent (11 of 61).

Castle Rock 52, Chelan 44 (semifinal)

Tierney Uhlenkott's 23 points led the Rockets (26-0) into the final. Courtney Dietrich had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Goats (20-6).

Cascade Christian 42, Connell 40 (loser out)

Olivia Tuttle's three-pointer with 5.5 seconds to play capped an all-but-impossible comeback by the Cougars from Puyallup. Cascade Christian (22-2) never led until Tuttle's shot, and trailed 37-17 entering the fourth quarter. The Cougars opened the final period with a 16-0 run, and pulled within 40-39 on two free throws by Katie Rozumny with 49 seconds left. Connell turned the ball over with 17 seconds remaining, and the Cougars called a timeout with 11 seconds left to set up the final play. Kaycee Creech scored 17 for the Cougars, who play Lynden Christian Saturday for fourth place.

Class 2B

Reardan 54, Morton-White Pass 15 (semifinal)

At Spokane Arena, Kelsey Moos had 19 points and 14 rebounds as the Indians advanced to their third consecutive final.

Northwest Christian (Colbert) 47, Pe Ell 46 (semifinal)

Chanel Knight hit a layup for Northwest Christian as time expired, after Pe Ell's Sami Robinson missed two free throws with 10.1 seconds left after being intentionally fouled. Pe Ell retained possession but turned it over on a steal by Rachel Bozlee. Alissa Brooks Johnson had 20 points and nine rebounds for Pe Ell.

Class 1B

Sunnyside Christian 78, Pateros 38 (semifinal)

At Spokane Arena, Stormee VanBelle's 21 points and 16 rebounds led the Knights into the title game. Sunnyside Christian shot 65.4 percent in the first half.

Colton 71, Wilbur-Creston 30 (semifinal)

Jenna Moser scored 26 as the defending champ Wildcats, winners of the past four state titles, cruised. Wilbur-Creston shot 20.5 percent (7 of 34).

Shoreline Christian 58, Taholah 49 (loser out)

Sarah Ott scored 21 of her 31 points in the first half as the Crusaders rallied from a 13-3 deficit. Bella Hermesch added 21 points for Shoreline Christian, which plays St. John-Endicott for fourth place.
