KIRKLAND — Inglemoor coach John Augustavo couldn't contain his excitement as his team posed for pictures on the court.

"Hold up that trophy," he yelled to his players with a big smile.

Augustavo and fifth-ranked Inglemoor used a big fourth quarter to run away from No. 8 Skyline, 54-36, in the KingCo 4A girls championship game Friday night at Juanita High School.

The Vikings repeatedly turned to sophomore Deja Strother, who delivered with a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds. She scored 10 points and had five rebounds in the fourth quarter.

Led by Strother, Inglemoor (20-2) went on a 17-3 run in the fourth to pull away.

"We go about eight or nine deep, and we just kept working it inside to the big kid, and eventually she's going to start making a few," Augustavo said. "And we picked up the energy in the second half."

The teams were tied at 22 at halftime, but the Vikings turned up the intensity in the second half. Inglemoor went on a 9-1 run to start the third quarter and led by at least six points the rest of the way.

Kelly Conroy scored 16 points for Inglemoor while Haley Smith led Skyline (19-5) with 11. The Vikings have won 10 straight games since losing two in a row.

"We really wanted this game more than anything," Strother said.
