YULEE, Fla. — Yulee High School's Derrick Henry, who has verbally committed to play for Alabama next year, broke one of high-school football's oldest records Friday night.

Henry broke Ken Hall's record of 11,232 career rushing yards for Sugar Land, Texas from 1950-53. The record had long been considered unbreakable.

Henry topped the record on a 52-yard touchdown run against Taylor County in a 41-26 Class 4A state playoff win. He finished the game with 482 yards and six touchdowns on 58 carries, and has 11,612 yards and 148 TDs in his career.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound back has rushed for at least 100 yards in every game of his high-school career. He already held the national record with 45 consecutive games of at least 100 yards.
